Honey Powder
What is Honey Powder?
Dehydrated honey, ground into a fine powder and mixed with stabilizers, usually maltodextrin. It has been used in Asia for a long time, especially in Korea, as a sugar substitute. Honey powder is similar in texture to corn flour, but it can also have a granular form. The color can be very white to a sort of creamy yellow color similar to fine powdered sugar or protein powder.
Honey powder, like liquid honey, can be used as a sweetener or flavoring. In powder form, the consistency is much easier to maintain, making it perfect for dry rubs and cake, cookie, or bread mixes. Great sprinkled on hot and cold cereals, ice cream, and seeds and nuts before roasting.
